Love Yourself

The last part of my Valentine's Weekend consisted of a girl's "Love Yourself" night:

 1. snacks

 2. comfy jammies

 3. homemade facials (oatmeal, honey, yogurt, egg white)

 4. homemade hand scrubs (sugar, olive oil, scented oil)

 5. home manicures and pedicures

6. friends, both old and new :)

Office of Love

My co-secretary (Brittany) and I decorated our office for Valentine's Day.  We might have gone overboard :P

All You Need Is Love

A girl from my ward is going to West Point this weekend.  I'm not even going to delve into the rarity of people visiting the East Coast during the school year or the unlikely chances that I would know someone going to the United States Military Academy of all places.  Instead I will focus on the cute little package I sent with her for my brother Jefferson, a Firstie at West Point.

Basically, I filled a cheesy bucket with candy, paper hearts, and super awesome Valentines for Jefferson and his friends:

I mean, he GOES to military school.  How can G.I. Joe valentines not be perfect?  My favorite has got to be "Operation Valentine's Day."  Sometimes it feels like that, doesn't it?  :P

He better appreciate my artwork and effort (shakes fist).

I love my brother!!

Good Night and Good Luck

Jacob and I were on the news! Fox News interviewed us as we camped out in the freezing cold for the BYU-U of U game (which we won, thank you very much!).

It's a Regina Day :D

Here is my Regina Spektor lyric story (made in 5 minutes, so excuse its simple and nonsensical nature):

"Come into my world"
"It's like forgetting the words to your favorite song
You can't believe it
You were always singing along
It was so easy and the words so sweet
You can't remember
You try to feel the beat"
"I never loved nobody fully
Always one foot on the ground
And by protecting my heart truly
I got lost in the sounds"
"God can be funny..."
"Our noses have begun to rust"
"God can be hilarious"
"He ate a slice of wonder bread and went right back to bed."

The end!

Check out her newest album Far and be prepared for amazingness!   I, for one, love piano.  And amazing versatile voices.  And interesting, thought provoking lyrics.  Thus, I love Regina Spektor.  You should, too :)
